My expertise extends beyond teaching and singing—I also specialize in helping students land lead roles, solos, and high-level singing gigs. Outside of music, I enjoy being with my three kids, going to live shows, theater, gardening, and word games. As a proud member of NATS and CVTA, with certifications in BAST, Core Singing, and UMT, I'm committed to your musical growth. I'm also a Music Together Certified Teacher and a Musical Theater Youth Director. Let's reach new heights in your singing journey! 

Hey there! I'm a passionate performing songwriter skilled in acoustic and electric guitar. Together with my wife, Charlene, we've recorded albums and toured the country with our original music. Together, we opened The Musician’s Den studio, a welcoming space for musicians of all levels, fostering vibrant musical expression and community.

As an instructor, I love sharing my songwriting and music knowledge with aspiring guitarists of all ages. I specialize in popular music styles like Blues, Rock, Pop, Alternative, Reggae, Metal, and Folk.

My focus is on intermediate, advanced, and experienced guitarists, and I create a fun and enthusiastic environment while exploring new ideas and techniques. I tailor lessons to each student's taste and goals, fostering confidence.

Beyond music, I enjoy traveling, hiking, mountain biking, and golfing with my family. Charlene and I have three performing children and also share our home with two cats named Ringo and Cosmo and a free-roaming house bunny (litter box trained!), Zuko.

Coach Drae, a seasoned musician, brings a unique blend of passion and expertise to his teaching. Starting his musical journey at twelve, he mastered guitar, keyboard, bass, and drums. Drae earned a bachelor's degree in guitar performance from the prestigious Musicians Institute in Los Angeles.

What sets Drae apart is his historic achievement at Musicians Institute, where he became the first to graduate with a master's degree. His expertise spans jazz, blues, metal, and pop, reflecting a teaching philosophy that transcends genre boundaries.

Drae places a strong emphasis on music theory and reading standard notation, ensuring a solid foundation. Yet, his primary focus is on creating a comfortable environment for students, making the musical journey about enjoying every note and rhythm.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Guitar Performance, Musicians Institute, Los Angeles.
• Historic Master's degree graduate from MI.
• Expertise in the history and development of British progressive rock.
• Versatility in teaching various genres: progressive rock, jazz, blues, metal, and pop.
• Strong emphasis on music theory and reading standard notation.
• Currently a member of two Denver rock bands.

Coach Glenn is a passionate and experienced drum instructor who helps students build solid technique, confidence, and creativity behind the kit. His teaching style is approachable and personalized, designed to meet each student where they are—whether they’re just starting out or ready to take their playing to the next level. With an emphasis on groove, timing, and musical expression, Glenn helps drummers become not just players, but well-rounded musicians.

While drums are his primary instrument, Glenn also has a strong foundation in vocal performance and enjoys working with students who want to build basic vocal skills or develop their sense of musicality and rhythm through singing.

He brings over 20 years of drumming experience to his lessons and is currently pursuing his degree in Music Education to continue growing as a teacher and mentor. Glenn has performed both as a solo artist and in bands, and brings that real-world experience into every lesson.

Coach Justin is a versatile and passionate guitar coach who brings decades of experience and a laid-back, encouraging style to his lessons. He helps students build strong foundational technique while also exploring creativity, improvisation, and personal expression—especially in blues, country, and rock styles. Whether you’re just starting out or looking to develop your own sound, Justin meets you where you are and helps you grow into a confident, expressive musician.

He teaches electric, acoustic, bass, and classical guitar, and enjoys working with students of all ages—from kids to adults. Justin can also guide electric guitarists through using effects pedals, setting up signal chains, and dialing in great tones. His approach emphasizes musical flow, listening, and the joy of playing, whether you're working through scales or jamming with a backing track.

Justin has been playing guitar for over 25 years and has performed in a variety of bands. He studied Commercial Music at South Plains College and Classical Guitar at Texas Tech University, and has taught students ranging in age from 10 to 65+.

Ms Laurel ~ I believe music is a universal language that speaks to us all, transcending age and backgrounds. From heartwarming melodies to uplifting beats, it moves us in unique ways. 

As a Colorado native, my musical journey began at age 5 with the piano and continued as I sang with the Colorado Children’s Chorale by age 9. I've since traveled internationally with the Cast of Up With People and many other bands. Currently, I am an elementary music school teacher  in Castle Rock.

My goal as an educator is to help students find their own musical voices while appreciating the shared experience. Together, let's explore the world of music and self-expression.

Maddie loves helping students discover the full potential of their voices while building confidence, musicality, and performance skills. She teaches opera, classical, musical theater, and contemporary styles, drawing on her wide experience in choir, musical theater, stagecraft, and digital music to create lessons that are both engaging and effective. Students can expect a supportive environment, clear technique, and the encouragement to explore a variety of styles.

Maddie is a choir, stagecraft, and digital music teacher with nine years of experience in the Douglas County and Cherry Creek School Districts, working with every grade level from kindergarten through 12th grade. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Music with an emphasis in classical voice from the University of Denver, studied abroad in Milan, Italy under opera singer Patrizia Zanardi, and completed graduate-level coursework in K–12 music curriculum and instruction. She is trained in the Estill Voice and Carol Krueger methods and holds a Level 1 Orff certification.

She has served as music director, tech director, and stage makeup artist for more than a dozen productions and performs with the Cherry Creek Chorale, where she has been featured as a soloist and is soon to be a guest conductor. Outside of work, Maddie enjoys teaching private voice lessons, snuggling her calico cat Spooky, and decorating cakes.
