2025 SESSIONS:

winter/SPRING semester 1/5 - 5/16/26

TMD Rock Bands

Learn, Rehearse, Perform in a real band!

Playing in a band is thrilling! This is a real rock band program, with real rehearsals and real performances.

Playing in a band is thrilling — and at The Musician’s Den, it’s a core part of how students grow as musicians. Our Rock Band Program brings students together to rehearse consistently, collaborate with peers, and perform live in a supportive, high-energy environment.

TMD Rock Bands are a great fit for students who want to experience playing in a band for the first time, as well as intermediate and advanced musicians ready to level up their performance skills. Led by professional performing musicians, students build confidence, musicianship, and teamwork through real band rehearsals and shows.

What Students Work On

Throughout the semester or session, rock band students learn to:

  • Break down and arrange songs
  • Learn and refine individual parts
  • Develop stage presence and ensemble skills
  • Manage tone, dynamics, and rehearsal flow
  • Prepare for sound check and live performance

This is an experience that helps musicians grow — onstage and off.

The TMD rock band experience

🎸 What's included:

  • Semester: 16 weekly band rehearsals
  • Summer Session: 7 weekly band rehearsals
  • Coaching from professional performing musicians
  • Local venue showcase(s)
  • Band photos

Rock band opportunities include:
Vocals, guitar, bass, drums/percussion, keys, and songwriting

🔥 rock band commitment:

To keep rehearsals productive and enjoyable for everyone, all band members are expected to:

  • Attend rehearsals consistently
  • Prioritize band commitments
  • Practice regularly at home
  • Participate in the mandatory Rock Band Showcase
  • Maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude
  • Take private lessons (strongly encouraged) to support individual growth and contribute fully to the band

🎤 ADDITIONAL STUDIO PERKS:

  • Optional music workshops
  • Occasional pop-up performances at community locations such as coffee shops, retirement homes, and local events

📌 Audition Required:

Auditions are required for placement. Bands are selective, and not all students are accepted. Students must demonstrate basic proficiency on their instrument and show readiness to rehearse and perform as part of a committed group.

Placement is based on age, ability, and availability. Auditions are low-pressure, and our team is here to guide students through the process.
